Hi
I’m Becky, the teacher behind Tillys Mindet Maths.
I’m a fully qualified maths teacher with over 20 years of experience, and I graduated with a First Class degree in Maths from York St John University.
Over the years, I’ve worked with hundreds of students, many of whom came to me feeling anxious, behind, or convinced they were “just bad at maths”. My focus has always been on helping students:
- truly understand what they’re doing
- develop clear strategies they can rely on
- and build lasting confidence in their own ability
Maths doesn’t need to feel stressful. When students are taught how to approach questions — not just what the answer is — everything starts to make more sense.
What I offer
- 1-hour LIVE online lesson each week on Zoom
- Small groups with a maximum of 10 students
- Step-by-step explanations using proven strategies
- A calm, supportive environment where questions are encouraged
- Clear notes and guidance to support learning between classes
Lessons are carefully structured so students know where to start, what to do next, and how to check their work — skills that are essential for exam success.
I came to Tilly’s tutoring as I was struggling with both Maths and Science only achieving a grade 3 in my mocks. My teachers predicted I would gain a grade 4 or 5, yet with exceptional guidance from Becky I am scoring grade 8’s in my mocks 3 weeks before my exams.
